  1. OMG... every color?!!! I have this dream of making a quilt top with a scrap of every color of kona. I don't know how long it would take to get every single color w/o buying the charms!

    Happy yesterday. Probably the best part was decorating cookies with my daughter after the baby was in bed. It was so nice for the three of us (her, her dad and me) to spend an hour with just us.

  8. Total dream to win this! I love using charm pack prints with solids to make half square triangles. Not having to cut them would be a super plus!!

    Happy memory from yesterday is playing out in the yard with my dog who usually thinks playing is running after him. Yesterday, though I was able to get him to bring me the ball and actually drop it before running away!

    Yesterday, I finished my daughter's curtains and hung them up. That was definitely happiness. I keep going to take a peek at them. :-)

    Also, in church, I spent the entire time watching a little girl (12 months?) playing. She was too cute.

  12. seriously??? yesterday, we had such a fun dinner. it wasn't anything special, we were just all in giggles the whole time. the little girls were stripped down because it was a messy dinner, and messy, halfnekked babies are always silly!!

    yesterday I had two happy experiences
    First our local sailing club had a Bingo and wheel of fortune for the Senior Citizens. My youngest daughter and I went with my Dad. There was so much laughter and happiness it put us all in a fee good mood
    Second, I was involved in a Secret Santa swap on a website and we had to all open our packages at the same time yesterday. There were so many happy emails going back and forth and photos of all the goodies everybody got.

  19. Wow oh Wow, would these be fun to play with. Yesterday my youngest came home for 6 weeks for the holidays!! We all went to dinner with his friend who we haven't seen in a year. It was a fabulous day! Wishing everyone an equally great day over the holiday season!

  20. Well, I am answering this on Monday .. so .. yesterday was my birthday, and it's also a sad day, my father passed away on my bday, four years ago.

    Hard to be happy, but one of the nicest things that happened was enjoying the HUGE birthday cake a friend brought over to my apt. for me. Thank you so much Sharon, you are a treasure! <3

  25. Ok, if you pick the best story mine has to win. We went to a party for our niece. That sounds simple, but it was the first time my brother-in-law and sister-in-law have included us in anything in over 20 years. Talk about a Christmas miracle. AND IT WAS A LOVELY EVENING!

    something happy yesterday? that has to be watching two of my bunnies playing in the garden. One of them, Colin, likes to dig holes but he's not very good at it. He digs a few inches, then he turns round and starts digging next to this new hole, pushing all the dug-up soil into the first hole! He can do this for hours and I find it hilarious. He looks wounded when I laugh at him!

  49. We had Sunday dinner with my family. A couple of years ago my mother decided we all needed to see each other more often, and instituted "Sunday Dinner at Nana and Poppa's". Some weeks it seems like more of a hassle to go, but we always have a good time and end up grateful for going. Last night it was Fried Chicken and Mashed Potatoes... how could you not love that!?

    This is gonna sound weird, but the best part of yesterday was hearing my husband cheer for the NY Giants. I am a bad luck charm for the Giants so I am not allowed in the room to watch (it's a sad fact, but true right now, lol). So I was more than happy to help make Hibs happy.

  66. I went to a Nativity display at a church - hundreds of nativities from community members loaned and set up for all to see. There were ones from Nigeria, Israel, Germany, Ireland, India - everywhere. It was lovely and fun to walk through with my husband and children. It was great to have a community event at Christmas time that didn't automatically involve Santa.
    My oldest daughter and I would have so much fun with that stack o' fabric. Great giveaway! Thanks!

  88. yesterday was actually a great day! the local zoo does christmas lights every year, and we took our kids to it. i think one of my favorite things to see was this little section that had a bunch of lights in the shape of christmas trees. they were playing all sorts of christmas music, and my girls just danced around the trees, singing along to the songs for like 20 minutes. we had to drag them away!

  89. that's a tough one. my grandmother was moved into in-home hospice care yesterday so there wasn't a whole lot of happy going around. but i guess the happiest moment was when we told her that she was moving out of the hospital and back home she spoke for the first time in days and said "that'd be nice".

  91. Hm. Well, I've been really busy lately, and so yesterday was just a day of rest. That made me happy. I hung out in my pajamas half the day and then we went out for dinner. Oh yes, and I took some soup down to my neighbor who's been very ill. She's feeling better now, and she doesn't have to cook for a couple of days!

    I had a busy day yesterday. Attended a baby's baptism and joined the family for dinner afterwards.

    Later that night went to a silent art auction to help raise money for a friend battling cancer. Found out today I won my two bids: a drawing I'm going to hang in my office and a facial!

    My happy thought was a full weekend's worth...
    I ran a marathon on Saturday and finished with a new PR.
    My kids and husband chased me and found me eight times along the route.
    I could walk the day after.
    My Mason tackled the climbing wall and grinned so big. It was a huge feat for him. Happy day!

  107. Yesterday I got to watch an episode of Monk. I was raised by the TV so we don't have any form of incoming broadcasted TV in our house because I don't want my kids to experience it like I did. But I still need it so we get it on DVD. About once a week we get to watch something, whether it's MONK with the kids right now or Bones after the kids go to sleep. Yesterday I got my fix of MONK! That made me happy.

  125. Saw a sweet little girl at the grocery store (who is the daughter of some younger friends of mine). She was born many manths premature; spent her first year of life in the hospital and has some issues that she will have to deal with her entire life. However, she is a sweet and happy little girl of about 4 now. so happy to see all that she has overcome and accomplished!

Yesterday, we delivered caramels to neighbors, and I watched my son stand in front of his church teacher's door and nervously giggle as he handed him a plate of caramels.

  145. I made a skirt for myself that I am really happy with. I bought the fabric 12 months ago to make a christmas skirt but it just wasn't working, 12 months on and I pulled out the fabric/halfmade skirt and recut another skirt and had it made in a couple of hours. VBG

  147. Great giveaway! Lets see, yesterday I did a lot of things, but my best part was coming to pick up my baby boy at the church nursery. I sat down on the floor, called his name and the smile on his face when he saw me was super adorable. Then he cruised over to me and climbed into my lap. It was so sweet. We had a few moments of connection there, then I had to go do a million other things. But I love those moments!

  164. I sang in a great concert yesterday with some wonderful musicians. One of my favorite moments was in the O Magnum Mysterium where we really lifted the level on our performance and seemed to find so many new subtleties to the piece. It's always great when your best performance of a piece is in front of an actual audience and not in rehearsal!
