Easter ties & brotherly love

So even after I blogged last week about ties for little boys the day before Easter I realized I hadn't made anything for Mason and Grahm to wear. I had found them some cute colorful shirts at Target (matchy - but not matching) and pulled some fabric out of my stash for their ties.

I couldn't decide what color but a few texts to my best friend and I landed on the fun, springy, yellow. About 45 minutes later (seriously - the velcro neck tutorial is SO easy!) I had these puppies done:

Easter ties for boys.

I think they went perfectly with their bright, fun shirts.

Why is it so hard to get a good picture of two boys?

Maybe because it's torture to sit by your little brother?

Torture to take a picture with your brother

Especially when he scoots too close too you and you can't help but give him a little elbow jab?

Throwing elbows

But they're so cute. They can get away with it with each other - at least for awhile. ;]

I hope you had a great Easter!

  1. The ties were perfect! And how cute are those boys?...........:)

  2. they look adorable in theit ties! and i can relate to the brother pictures. it is so hard to get a good one og my boys together!!

  3. They are so adorable. I love the elbow jab picture, and Mason looks pretty comfortable with his smirky face. Love!

  4. Your boys look darling! Great pics. They are adorable. Such fun at this stage!

  5. oh my gosh! these photos are absolutely adorable! your boys are bundles of energy and i love that! there is something so charming and funny about that last photo. you have two cuties!

oh, and those ties are great too!

  6. Love the ties! I am glad I am not the only one who can't get my kids to pose. How do people get these professional pictures of their children? I love the jabbing one. :)

  7. So cute! Your oldest looks so much like you.

  8. LOVE how vibrant they are!
I wonder if I could pull this off for my hubby??.....

  9. Cute boys! I think it is easier to dress boys up than girls. Girls need so much fuss; boys can be dressed up with a cute tie!

  10. I had that same Susan Branch fabric - never in a million years would I have thought of using it for ties! Brilliant.

I was just seeing who else is coming to the Quilt Market meetup - looking forward to seeing you. :)

  11. The ties turned out SO cute! I love that fabric (what is it?)

You have inspired me and I'm going to make ties for my sister's wedding. Yellow.

  12. oh i love them!! (the ties AND the boys) ... super cute colors and your boys are adorable!!

i really need to make some ties for my boys. i can never find ones in the store that i love.

  13. I am so glad we decided on the yellow! It ties them together so much. Such cuties!!!
