our ABC's

I don't know if all 2 year olds can sing their ABC's ... but I'm just going to go ahead and say that I think that Mason is a pretty dang smart little kid. It's my blog so I can say so.

Watch our video to see him (& I!) singing our ABC's and then discussing where we should go for lunch. I have been meaning to take a video of Mason talking for awhile ... because he is such a chatterbox. He talks in full little toddler sentences now and it's just so adorable.



Some of his favorite phrases: (now that I look at them, mostly questions!)

Lay down Mama's bed? (it's a treat so he always asks for it)
See MeeMaw Pa Pa today?
Go Mama's car go fast?
Daddy's work throw plates? (Marc took him to work one day and gave him a job of throwing away plates, now he always wants to do it)
Play friends Addy Austin Aubs? (His three best friends, he's always asking to play with them)
Lay down on pouch? (he calls the couch the pouch)
Sing song? Bubble bubble?
Read nite nite book?

  1. OH MY GOSH! YOU NEED TO GET A PICTURE OF WHAT YOU LOOKED LIKE AT HIS AGE AND PUT THEM SIDE BY SIDE!! SPITTING IMAGE OF YOU! I LOVE IT! WHEN I FIRST SAW THE PICTURE TO THE VIDEO...THOUGHT IT WAS YOU! HE IS SOOO CUTE...AND SMART!!:)

Jill - don't tell Mason, but the other day I put his bangs swept to the side in a bobby pin so he looked like a little girl ... and my mom was freaking out because she said it looked exactly like me when I was his age. :) I'll have to get my mom to give me some pictures to scan in of me when I was 2!

  3. So cute! Thanks for posting that! Loved the song. Esp. the "LMNOP" I played it for Aubrey and she was so excited to see Mason singing. I think that we could start a singing group, "The ABCs" w Mason, Aubrey, Austin and Addy. And little JoJo could be a groupie.

  12. How wonderfully adorable!

    Jasper (my two year old) enjoys watching ABC on Starfall.com, but he's never wanted to sing along and shouted "Again! Againagainagain!" after each song. We seriously sang along with guys at least 20 times in a row.
