Over the past few weeks we had Marc's parents visiting us from California and our cousins from California, too. We've got 7 cousins under 3 years old on Marc's side of the family - so it makes for some fun and loud get-togethers. We did a lot of fun things while they were here!
We let all the toddlers frost a Halloween cake ... yeah, I wasn't about to eat it afterwards - I saw all of them doing the "one swipe on the cake, two swipes on my toungue" method.
We ate at Joe's Crab Shack - which is excellent because they have an outdoor play place like you'd find at a park. This is key when you have 7 kids to entertain while the food is being cooked.
We went to the pumpkin patch - here's all the kiddos in one picture. The oldest 2 are 3 years old, Mason and the twins are 2 years old, then there is a 17 month old and a 5 month old. Crazy!
Mason says "yeah, it's freezing. Let's come back and get pumpkins when there is not a sub-zero wind blowing".
We celebrated William's 3rd birthday while everyone was here -- I had a little party for him at our house. I have been wanting to make a Happy Birthday banner like this one out of all my felt scraps from capes - but I saw this one at Target and decided to buy it to use as a stand in until I have the time to make myself one. It's cute!
I put candy in jars to decorate the table and used my brightly colored bowls and serving dishes to make the table fun.
We also went to a giant indoor playplace where they had about 7 or 8 of those giant inflatable slides and jumping houses. Those things are fun! All of us adults got to go in since the little kids couldn't climb up the ladders by themselves. I think we had just as much fun as they did.
We also went to the park, ate and played at Chic Fil-A, went shopping and played lots of Wii. We'll miss you Grandma and Grandpa!
